Ionia County Churches Rather than try to provide you with a "phone book" type listing of the many churches in Ionia County, my focus will be on those churches with historical significance in the county. If you have access to any information on the older churches in Ionia, please let me know! Please visit often. There is a book available on the "History of the Campbell District of the Old German Baptist Church 1867 - 1990 - Thornapple German Baptist Brethern 1867-1883 Campbell Old German Baptist Brethern "Lake Odessa" 1883-1990 The Church (or Meeting House) still stands and is still in use. it's at the corner of Vedders Road and Darby Road.
