MOORE, Kenneth S Sr.

Posted By: Michael Parker
Date: Thursday, 26 July 2001, at 10:38 a.m.

On July 13th, 2001, Ken Moore Sr unexpectedly passed away due to a long battle with Bi Polar disorder. Although some people are aware of Bi-Polar disorder, most are not aware of the effects and diagnoisis of this traumatic illness.

Bi Polar is a disorder of two chemicals found natuarlly in the brain. Chormosomes and protiens play a major role in the disorder. Two specifically, Dopamine and Sertonin. These two chemicals in a Bi-Polar paitent are over-produced, causing cycles of "high and low" emmotions that frequently require medication to control. If diagnoised early enough, a individual with the disorder can lead a semi-normal and healthy life. Unfortunately, this was not the case with Ken Moore Sr. Donations are being accepted by Ken Moore Jr. to be given to organization(s) still in research to help the families of Bi Polar paitents. Please contact Ken Moore Jr at 616-347-8217 for information on how a donation can be made in honor of the tragic loss of our beloved "papa" and father.
