Orleans Township Death Index

The following is an index of the original handwritten Death Certificates and Burial and Removal Permits for all deaths occurring in Orleans Township for the years listed. These certificates were sent to the Ionia County Clerk on the 4th of each month by the Township Clerk. A photocopy was made of each certificate and has been donated to the Ionia County Genealogical Society (ICGS) for their library. The public is welcome to view these and make copies at the ICGS library as needed. If you wish to order a copy by mail, please send $1.00 for each certificate, to cover copy costs, and a SASE to ICGS, 13051 Ainsworth Rd., Route 3, Lake Odessa, MI 48849. The ICGS library is located in the Lake Odessa Area Historical Depot Museum on Emerson St., Lake Odessa, MI. The copies and index were donated by Phyllis Slayton and Leora Slosser, ICGS members.
